Beginning Meditation Class for Children
The Young Group, ages 8-12.
The Teenage Group, ages 13-19.
The beginning Anapanasati (awareness of in-and-out breathing). “Anapanasati” is the observation of natural, normal respiration, as it comes in and it goes out. It is a simple technique that helps children to better understand themselves and how their minds work. As children learn calmness and concentration, they gain mastery over their impulses and actions. They develop an inner strength that helps them to choose right and the appropriate actions over wrong actions. This is the natural by-product of the technique. Practicing this technique provides and develops some tools for the child to deal with the fears, anxieties, and pressures of childhood through adolescence.

Full Moon Meditation
The full moon is a special time each month when a door opens and provides a strong force of spiritual energy to flow freely. During this time the powerful energy of light assists group meditations in reinforcing peace, loving kindness, harmony and tranquility. There is a great form of communication, allowing a reciprocal, focused interplay for many minds, working together in meditation and producing a strong unity of powerful thought.
